Select Benefits voluntary
Swift Notes
We have answers to some of the more challenging issues you face.
I want a simple plan that helps employees manage out-of-pocket costs, and is Health Savings Account (HSA)-compatible.
GapAssist
GapAssist is supplemental coverage—accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity—that won’t affect your HSA.
Three turnkey plans are available (Base, Classic and Premier), each offering the same three coverages but at different amounts. You can offer one, two or all three plans.

I want to offer a plan that can help provide financial support after a critical diagnosis or event.
Critical illness
Critical illness insurance pays a lump-sum benefit upon the first diagnosis of a covered condition. Benefits can be used for anything participants may need.
Covered conditions include cancer, heart attack, stroke, mental illness, infectious diseases, pregnancy complication, diabetes and more.
You can offer the plan to employees only, or add spouse and dependent coverage.

I want to offer coverage that mitigates the cost of accidents.
Accident coverage
Accident coverage is designed to help employees with some of the costs after an accident, allowing them to focus on recovery and get back to work sooner.
You can choose between a per occurrence or scheduled benefit accident plan based on the needs of your employees.

I want to offer coverage that helps cover the cost of hospital stays.
Hospital indemnity insurance
Even one or two nights in a hospital can take a toll on employee' financial health, thanks to out-of-pocket costs from copays, coinsurance or deductibles. Hospital indemnity insurance can help by paying a fixed benefit each day of a covered hospital stay, so employees can focus on their recovery and getting back to their daily life.
Hospital indemnity plans also pay a fixed benefit each day of a covered stay in an intensive care unit (ICU), substance abuse facilities, mental health facilities and nursing facilities.

I want to make this simple for my employees.
Select Benefits voluntary products are easy to use and understand. Coverage is guaranteed issue, and participants get the full benefit amount no matter what other coverage they have. Plus, there are no required networks or deductibles, copay or coinsurance requirements.

I don’t want any surprises.
The Select Benefits suite of products is not meant to replace major medical or other comprehensive coverage.
