Effective January 1, 2026, the premium rate for 2026 PFL benefits is 0.432%, not to exceed the maximum employee contribution of $411.91. The DFS increased the 2026 PFL premium rate by 11.31% over the 2025 rate of 0.388%. The 2026 PFL rate will be set at 0.432% of an employee’s wages each pay period up to and not to exceed an annual maximum employee contribution of $411.91. If an employee’s contributions reach the annual maximum employee contribution of $411.91 before the end of the calendar year, the employee shall not be liable for any additional contributions for that year.
