Symetra Structured Settlement Reinsurance Agreement with Resolution Re

 

What did Symetra announce?

On Sept. 11, 2018, Symetra announced that it has entered into a reinsurance agreement with Resolution Re, covering Symetra’s structured settlement annuity contracts and a smaller block of income annuities. There will be no changes for our customers due to this agreement. Your payment and service options are unaffected.

How does this affect my payments/policy/account?

Customers will see no change as a result of this transaction. Payments will still come from Symetra and you may still call Symetra for assistance as you always have.

Who should I call about my payments/policy/account going forward?

You should still call Symetra at 1-800-796-3872 with questions or for assistance.

Is there anything I need to do?

No. There are no changes to your account and there is nothing you need to do.

When does this transaction take effect?

The transaction has closed and is currently effective.
