Specified Disease Insurance

Financial relief when it's needed most

A cancer diagnosis, heart attack or other life-altering condition usually means unknown and unexpected costs. Specified disease insurance helps lessen the impact by paying a lump-sum benefit, so insureds can concentrate on their recovery rather than their finances.

Highlights

  • Benefit amounts available in $1,000 increments, up to $100,000
  • Guaranteed issue coverage available1
  • Health screening benefit available
  • Skin cancer benefit available per person, per calendar year

How it works

The first time an insured is diagnosed with a covered condition after the coverage is in effect, they will receive a one-time lump-sum benefit equal to their plan's benefit amount for that condition, and can spend this benefit however they choose.

Covered conditions include:

  • Invasive cancer
  • Minor cancer2
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Obstructive coronary artery disease
  • Major organ failure
  • End-stage renal disease
