Specified Disease Insurance
Financial relief when it's needed most
A cancer diagnosis, heart attack or other life-altering condition usually means unknown and unexpected costs. Specified disease insurance helps lessen the impact by paying a lump-sum benefit, so insureds can concentrate on their recovery rather than their finances.
Highlights
- Benefit amounts available in $1,000 increments, up to $100,000
- Guaranteed issue coverage available1
- Health screening benefit available
- Skin cancer benefit available per person, per calendar year
How it works
The first time an insured is diagnosed with a covered condition after the coverage is in effect, they will receive a one-time lump-sum benefit equal to their plan's benefit amount for that condition, and can spend this benefit however they choose.
Covered conditions include:
- Invasive cancer
- Minor cancer2
- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Obstructive coronary artery disease
- Major organ failure
- End-stage renal disease
