ESPN Radio Drives Home Symetra Brand
Major League Baseball Campaign Launches on Opening Day
Bellevue, Wash. (March 30, 2007) Symetra Financial announced today a national consumer advertising campaign on ESPN Radio. The campaign will launch on Major League Baseballs (MLB) Opening Day, April 1. Several 30 second Symetra advertisements will air during all of ESPN Radios MLB broadcasts throughout the 2007 regular season, playoffs and World Series.
The campaign is designed to raise greater awareness about Symetra on a national level. Symetra has solutions for some of the greatest concerns facing American families and businesses today: guarding against outliving retirement savings, having access to cost-effective health insurance, finding a robust 401(k) to support growing businesses and securing life insurance to protect loved ones. The ads center around Symetras theme Reach for Great Things, a brand concept about empowering clients to reach their financial goals and improve their lives by partnering with the company.
Our collaboration with ESPN Radio allows us to increase our consumer ad presence and reach a broad audience with the Symetra message, said Al Close, senior vice president of marketing at Symetra Financial. Its a great time to showcase the Symetra brand as Americans tune in to our great national pastime.
A leader in sports broadcasting, ESPN Radio airs on more than 350 affiliate stations across the county, reaching 94 percent of the U.S. market. The Sunday night MLB broadcasts feature Dan Shulman announcing the play-by-play and Dave Campbell providing color commentary and game analysis.
Beginning in May, ESPN Radios Web site will also feature a series of interactive promotions and weekly prizes. At the end of the season, one lucky winner will receive a grand prize international vacation.
Symetra worked with Seattle-based advertising agency, Copacino+Fujikado, to design the campaign.
