Acquisition of Mutual Funds Business by Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. Complete
REDMOND, Wash. — (Dec. 13, 2004) — Symetra Financial Corp. announced today that the sale of its more than $3.1 billion mutual funds business to Boston-based Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. is now complete. In a special meeting held on Dec. 8, shareholders approved the merger, which became final on Dec. 10.
