Christine A. Katzmar
Vice President, Human Resources
Chris Katzmar is vice president of Symetra Financial Corp. and its insurance subsidiaries, with oversight of the Human Resources and Service Operations departments.
Katzmar began her career as a recruiter and training consultant for Potomac Electric Power Co. She later served as assistant vice president with Bank of America in Washington, D.C.
Katzmar joined Safeco in 1991 as a personnel development analyst. She held numerous positions in corporate human resources, including human resources representative, manager and director. In 2001, she was appointed to vice president for Symetra Financial.
Katzmar serves on the board of trustees for Youth Eastside Services (Y.E.S.) and sings with the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue Chancel Choir.
Katzmar earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University located in Oxford, Ohio and received an Executive Leadership certificate from Seattle University.
