Troy J. Olson-Blair

Chief Information Officer
Troy Olson-Blair is vice president and chief information officer of Symetra Financial Corp. and its insurance subsidiaries, with oversight of the Information Technology organization.
Olson-Blair began her career working for Safeco in 1973. She also worked at Honeywell Information Systems and Seattle First National Bank. In 1983, she returned to Safeco as an application developer for the property and casualty company where she held various systems and management positions.
In 1992, Olson-Blair joined corporate technology services at Safeco. She was appointed assistant vice president with responsibilities for voice and data communications, enterprise-wide networking, web services, personal computing technologies and end-user support.
Olson-Blair was appointed vice president for Symetra Financial in 2000 and was named Chief Information Officer in 2004. In her role she is responsible for delivering innovative technology platforms, business process enhancements through automation and technology infrastructure.
Olson-Blair serves on the board of directors for Leadership Tomorrow, an organization devoted to developing effective community leaders who work to strengthen our Puget Sound region.
Leadership Tomorrow selects emerging and existing leaders from the private, public and nonprofit sectors to participate. She is a graduate of the program and an alumni member.
