Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution
Pat McCormick is senior vice president of sales and distribution for Symetra Financial’s insurance subsidiaries. He has been responsible for sales through independent agents, broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, financial institutions, group brokers, third party administrators and specialty brokers since 1999. In addition, he has responsibility for Symetra’s Sales Center and broker/dealer, Symetra Investment Services.
McCormick joined Symetra Financial in 1985 as an individual life specialist in the Minneapolis office. In 1989, he moved to the home office in Redmond, Wash. as an individual life marketing manager and in 1994 was named assistant vice president of Individual Life Marketing. He became vice president in charge of the individual department in May 1997, and in 1998, was named vice president of independent agent distribution.
McCormick is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the American Society of CLU and ChFCs, the National Association of Life Underwriters, and the Seattle Association of Life Underwriters.
As a community contributor, he is the chair on the board of directors for the Disability Fund, which provides education, training and assistance to children and adults with developmental disabilities. He is also active in his church, holding several committee positions, and with local school programs.
