George C. Pagos
Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary
George Pagos is senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Symetra Financial Corp. and its insurance subsidiaries.
Pagos joined the company in 1976 as a lawyer in its legal department. He was named associate general counsel in 1985 and then vice president in 1995. Pagos was named general counsel and secretary in 2004, and appointed to senior vice president in 2007.
He is responsible for Symetra Financial’s legal and government affairs functions and serves as a director for Symetra Financial’s insurance subsidiaries.
Pagos serves on the Board of Trustees of Seattle Opera, one of the leading opera companies in the United States. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of ArtsFund, an organization that provides financial support to more than 70 nonprofit arts groups in King and Pierce Counties of Washington.
Pagos earned his bachelor of business administration degree from the George Washington University and his law degree from the University of Maryland.
