More ‘Rising Stars’ take flight in 2014
Our national “Rising Stars” sponsorship with Sports Illustrated® continues in 2014 with new videos on SI.com and print ads in some of SI’s biggest preview issues of the year, including:
PRO FOOTBALL pLAYOFFS | WINTER gAMES | COLLEGE hOOPS PLAYOFFS
Our campaign centerpiece, “Sports Illustrated Rising Stars, sponsored by Symetra,” shines a spotlight on up-and-coming professional, college and amateur athletes, paired with print and online advertising featuring our “I Just Want to Fly” theme.
Here’s what’s coming up in the first quarter of 2014:
Pro football playoffs
As the playoffs kick off, we’re launching new Symetra-branded “Rising Star” videos on SI.com, featuring SI’s pro football analysts discussing rising stars to watch during the playoff season. Check them out at www.si.com/risingstars
Symetra-branded profiles of these dynamic players also will appear in SI’s Jan. 13 playoff preview issue, along with a new Symetra print ad. Few events capture the country’s attention like the pro football playoffs and Symetra will be a part of it.
Winter Games and College Hoops
Our national ad campaign doesn’t stop when the pro football clock runs out. We have more excitement on the horizon, including two of the most anticipated events in sports:
- 2014 Winter Games: Our “Rising Stars” coverage continues as we spotlight six athletes preparing to compete in the Winter Games in Sochi. Symetra-branded videos on SI.com and profiles in SI’s preview issue will help generate additional winter buzz.
- March Mayhem: When the college basketball playoffs tip off, we’ll be part of the action. We’ll highlight three “Rising Stars” in college hoops on SI.com and in SI’s big playoff preview issue.
In addition to print ads and branded videos, our “I Just Want to Fly” commercials also are featured on SI.com/risingstars and on our website at symetra.com/fly.
