Sports Illustrated Rising Stars,’ ESPN and pro and college sports help build the Symetra brand.

In 2013, we launched our first national advertising campaign, featuring television and print advertising and our popular “Rising Stars” sponsorship with Sports Illustrated. This year, we added another great name in sports…ESPN.
By aligning with these premier media outlets, and through effective sponsorships and programs, we continue to raise our profile and communicate Symetra’s value to your prospective customers. Here’s where you’ll find us in 2014.

Symetra is kicking off the next big phase of our national campaign with the return of “Sports Illustrated Rising Stars, sponsored by Symetra,” a print and online promotion highlighting up-and-coming professional and college athletes.

The campaign features new Rising Star player videos on and profiles in the magazine. As the title sponsor, Symetra video and print ads are prominently displayed across both SI properties. Here’s where you’ll see us:

  • July 31: Fantasy Football Preview issue; New NFL player profiles launch on
  • August 27: NFL Season Preview issue
  • Sept. 10: College and Pro Football focus, New college football player profiles launch on

The campaign continues into 2015, with new player profiles in print and online for the NFL Playoffs, college basketball playoffs, the pro baseball preview, and golf’s U.S. Open. Throughout the campaign, Symetra banner ads will also be prominently displayed across SI’s newly redesigned website. To see the videos and ads, go to


In June, we launched a series of high-profile promotions with ESPN and, with our 30-second advertisement running during SportsCenter and Wimbledon. Our ads continue into the fall, with prominent placement in ESPN’s televised and online sports coverage, including:

  • SportsCenter
  • Professional Tennis: The U.S. Open (Aug. 25–Sept. 8)
  • Major League Baseball (regular season games)

With this high-profile exposure, the Symetra name reaches millions of consumers and sports fans nationwide.

Each year, Symetra honors 64 public school teachers through our partnerships with the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Teachers are nominated by the community for their ability to help students rise to their full potential, and are given a grant in recognition of their contributions. Nominate your hero.

Symetra is proud to support the rising stars of women’s golf through our sponsorship of the Symetra Tour—the world’s largest international women’s development tour. The Symetra Tour provides an opportunity for up-and-coming golfers to prepare for a career in the LPGA, while creating exceptional role models for youth today.

More than 500 alumnae of the Symetra Tour—including 2014 Women's British Open winner Mo Martin—have earned LPGA membership, winning over 370 LPGA titles, including 40 major championships.

Symetra officially sponsors three Tour alumnae who have gone on to the LPGA: Jaye Marie Green, P.K. Kongkraphan and Jaclyn Sweeney.
