Sports Illustrated, ESPN and SportsCenter all play roles in our 2014 national ad campaign.

In 2013, we launched our first national advertising campaign, featuring television and print advertising and our popular “Rising Stars” sponsorship with Sports Illustrated.
Building on the success of “Rising Stars” with SI, we are taking our brand even higher with another great name in sports…ESPN.
By aligning with these premier media outlets, we continue to raise our profile and communicate Symetra’s value to your prospective customers. Here’s where you’ll find us in 2014.


ESPN TELEVISION ADVERTISING​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
The next phase of the campaign kicks off in June, with prominent advertising during televised sports events and programs on ESPN, including:

  • Professional Tennis Championships: Wimbledon (June 23–July 6) and the U.S. Open (Aug. 25–Sept. 8)
  • Professional Golf: The British Open (July 13—20) 
  • Major League Baseball (regular season games)
  • SportsCenter (check local listings for broadcast schedule)

With this high-profile exposure, the Symetra name will reach millions of consumers and sports fans nationwide.

Prominent online advertising will include:

  • Pre-roll video ads on WatchESPN during Wimbledon, the British Open (golf) and the U.S. Open (tennis).
  • Headline sponsorships of’s tennis coverage during Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


Our successful "Rising Stars" sponsorship with Sports Illustrated returns in July with the kick-off of pre-season college and pro football. Look for ads in the magazine and on Details on the first round of “Rising Stars” are coming soon.


Our ESPN and Sports Illustrated advertising campaigns feature our “I Just Want To Fly” theme. Videos and print ads highlight Symetra’s commitment to helping people and businesses achieve their financial goals so they can reach higher and fly farther.

Symetra is proud to support the rising stars of women’s golf through our sponsorship of the Symetra Tour—the world’s largest international women’s development tour. The Symetra Tour provides an opportunity for up-and-coming golfers to prepare for a career in the LPGA, while creating exceptional role models for youth today.

More than 500 alumnae of the Symetra Tour have earned LPGA membership, winning over 370 LPGA titles, including 40 major championships.

Since 1989, Symetra Tour events have contributed nearly $5 million to charitable organizations nationwide.

Each year, Symetra honors 64 public school teachers through our partnerships with the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Teachers are nominated by the community for their ability to help students rise to their full potential, and are given a grant in recognition of their contributions. Nominate your hero.

Symetra sponsors PGA professional JJ Henry, winner of the PGA's 2012 Reno-Tahoe Open. JJ also won the 2006 Buick Championship and played on the 2006 Ryder Cup team. In 2006, JJ established the Henry House Foundation to support community-based programs focused on the health care and the well-being of children in Fort Worth, Texas, and southern New England.
