Effective Oct. 1, 2005, American States Life Insurance Co. was merged with Symetra Life Insurance Co. Although American States Life has been part of the Symetra family since 1997, this final step completes the union.
"This change allows us to streamline our accounting and workflow processes and fully consolidate American States Life into the Symetra brand," said Jeff Shomaker, Individual Life Claims Manager. "We believe these new efficiencies will bring an even higher level of service to your clients and to you."
We want to assure you there will be no changes to your clients coverage or to the services they receive from us. All conditions, features and benefits of their American States Life contracts, policies and certificates remain unchanged, as do their policy contract numbers.
