Key features
Among WorkLife II’s key features is a guaranteed death benefit and premium to age 120, with no automatic reduction in death benefit at any time in the insured’s lifetime as long as the minimum monthly premiums are paid. This feature alone makes WorkLife II a standout in the industry.

Some of WorkLife II’s key benefit options1 include:

  • Accelerated Death Benefit Rider for Daily Living (DLR) — If the policyholder becomes unable to perform two of the six Activities of Daily Living or is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment and has a physician's plan of care in place, they would be eligible to receive this accelerated benefit in the amount of 4 percent of the Face Amount per month for up to 25 months.


  • Restoration Rider — Restores the base policy face amount as the DLR is paid out for up to 25 months. Restoration occurs monthly in the amount of the monthly DLR benefit.1,2


  • Extension Rider — Extends the payout period of the DLR up to an additional 25 months. Payout begins 26 months after approval of the DLR.1,2


  • Automatic Increase Option — On policy anniversary dates for a stated period of time, the policyholder may elect to purchase $1 per week additional coverage automatically. No additional underwriting is required.


  • Insured Children's Benefit Rider — Provides coverage for all current and future children ages 15 days to 17 years for one annual premium.


  • Accidental Death Benefit — If the policyholder dies from an accidental death, an additional death benefit will be paid.


  • Waiver Benefit — Should the policyholder become disabled, premium to keep the guaranteed death benefit in place will be paid on the individual's behalf.
Inherent Benefits – no extra cost
WorkLife II UL includes an accelerated benefit option for terminal illness1, which pays up to 100 percent of a discounted death benefit in advance, should the policyholder be diagnosed as terminally ill by a qualified health professional. And the accelerated benefit option for nursing home care1 pays up to 100 percent of a discounted death benefit in advance should the policyholder become confined to a nursing home.

WorkLife UL is offered to employees on a payroll-deduction basis. Experienced enrollers led by Toni Leone, Symetra’s National Enrollment Coordinator, will administer the entire enrollment right at the workplace, so it’s quick and easy for everyone.
