Attendees Rave, Give Symetra Summit High Marks
Want to qualify for Symetra Summit 2007? Next year's conference will be held April 29 through May 2, at Amelia Island, Fla.
If you can attend just one conference a year, make it Symetra Summit. That seemed to be the overwhelming consensus of the attendees who earned a trip to our annual four-day conference.1

Attendees pushed this year's conference rating up a notch compared to prior conferences and gave rave reviews, adding such comments as "I honestly don't know how you could possibly improve" and "WOW!"

"Forty-six years in the business and this truly was an outstanding conference."

"The speakers and the enthusiasm projected by everyone was contagious."

In addition to peer insight groups, networking and one-on-one chats with Symetra executives, attendees raved about the conference's featured speakers and the California-themed entertainment (including an Oscar event complete with red carpet, paparazzi and celebrity look-alikes).

Conference highlights included noted futurist and economist Dr. Lowell Catlett who humorously served up tips on delivering financial services to the nation's affluent, active and aging baby-boomer population. Additionally, Michael Price — one of the most highly regarded value investors of all time — talked about the keys to successful investing, which included comments on why he views Symetra as a "valuable company."

Attendees also said they came away with a new appreciation for Symetra's strengths after hearing from Chairman David Foy and President and CEO Randy Talbot. They especially enjoyed hearing Talbot talk about leading Symetra through its transition to becoming an independent company.

"2006 is Symetra's year of Taking Flight, and our future is indeed very bright," Talbot shared with the group.

"Once a year we pull out all of the stops to provide our top producers with an opportunity to engage their peers and Symetra executives in informative and valuable discussions about how to build their respective businesses. We have a lot of fun along the way as well," said Al Close, senior vice president of Marketing. "Not only are our 2006 Summit participants telling us we delivered, several have told me they want to make sure they qualify for next year's conference so they don't miss a thing."
