Don’t Fear 65: Let the Empowerment
Revolution Begin!
Print this page

On Aug 25, 2008, Symetra launched a nationwide consumer campaign challenging Americans to take charge of their retirement. “Don’t Fear 65” is about helping retirees celebrate their freedom and making sure they have the resources to fund their retirement dreams.

Key elements of the campaign include fun pass-along videos, a retirement income microsite, and targeted online advertising.

“We believe the campaign’s empowering messages will be especially appealing to older Americans who are on track for, or already enjoying, a secure retirement,” said Kathryn Riley, assistant vice president of Symetra Brand Marketing. “We want people approaching 65 to feel confident they can make their nest eggs last.”

In addition to helping seniors stretch their retirement dollars for 25-plus years, the goals of the campaign are to enhance Symetra’s name recognition, generate more leads for you, and ultimately help you sell more income annuities.
