Money allocated to the indexed account will earn a holding rate until the first indexing date. The indexing date is the first 20th of the month after Symetra receives the purchase payment and every anniversary, thereafter, for the next seven years.

The index cap is the maximum interest rate that will be credited to the indexed account each indexing year. The cap varies for new sales, but once a contract is issued, the index cap locks in for the first indexing year. Thereafter, it may change on each indexing date.
Fixed Account
New money rate:3.10%
Guaranteed minimum:2.00% for the first 7 years, 1.50% thereafter
The fixed account interest rate locks in for 12 months after each contract anniversary.
