Agents and advisors must comply with all continuing education requirements for states where they plan to be Symetra appointed.
- We cannot complete an appointment until all Continuing Education (CE) requirements are fully satisfied. If an agent or advisor submits business and is then determined to be out of CE compliance, the business may be returned.
- A formal document—rather than a training certification number—may be required in some states.

Symetra requires a secondary suitability review by an approved broker/dealer on all annuity products. If we receive annuity business that has not been reviewed by an approved broker/dealer, we will have a secondary suitability review conducted through a broker/dealer designated by Symetra—at no additional charge.
